The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) is more than 100 years-old, making it the third oldest conference in the nation.  The OAC consists of ten NCAA Division III colleges and universities and sponsors championships in 21 sports.  All of the sports were founded in the 19th century and have long standing academic and athletic reputations.
