Enroll in College 101 (COL 101 – First-Year Experience) and you can have a mentoring relationship with a faculty member and an upper-class student. The professor and the course assistant of your COL 101 section will be mentors to you now and in the future.

Career Services hosts a First Year Student Open House each semester. Drop by to meet the career advisors and to learn more about Career Services resources, programs and special events that can be of assistance to you.
Activate your B-W Career Network account
Visit or contact Career Services to receive your personal username and password to activate your B-W Career Network account. Go to bw.erecruiting.com.
Create your first college resume
Attend a Resume Writing Clinic. Clinics are held every Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (and once a month at 12 noon) in the Strosacker College Union. Register through the Calendar menu of the B-W Career Network.
Get back to basics
Study, study, study. Take challenging courses, stay curious and keep your GPA up.
Explore your options
Schedule an appointment with your First Year Student Career Advisor to discuss potential majors and careers. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. They’re ready to take this journey with you.
Document your experiences
Think about what “success” means to you, and how that definition will shape your collegiate plan. Write it down in your E-Portfolio and keep track of your evolving opinions.
