Baldwin-Wallace College Grants Credit for Military Training
Veterans who have received an honorable discharge are granted 25 credits (semester hours) for their military experience and training. Within those 25 hours, 2 are given for HPE 205, First Aid and Safety Education; 1.5 for HPE Activity; 0.5 for HPE 110W, Personal Wellness and 4 for Hpe 221W, Personal Health.
Additional equivalencies may be granted within the 25 hours for military courses, training and experience that have received American Council on Education (ACE) college recommendations that are within the academic scope of Baldwin-Wallace College. In addition to the DD214, an official SMARTor AARTS transcript must be received directly from ACE to consider additional equivalencies. If equivalencies cannot be awarded, then general elective hours will be granted towards the BW degree to a maximum of 25 hours.
Credit earned through CLEP or DANTES may be awarded in addition to the 25 hours. Baldwin-Wallace College is a CLEP testing site.
College work completed through regionally accredited military or other colleges and universities will also be considered in addition to the 25 hours. Official transcripts must be received directly from these institutions before credit can be considered, as part of the admission process.
Before a degree can be conferred at B-W all residency requirements must be completed. A minimum of 32 semester hours must be taken at Baldwin-Wallace, 40% of the major must be taken in residence and a minimum of 6 hours must be taken in the minor.
