Dylan Fujimura

Dylan Fujimura, Technical Director-Kleist Center for Art and Drama, has been a member of the theatre department for more than five years.  Dylan has had the pleasure of being associated with such theatres as The Cleveland Playhouse, Cleveland Public Theatre, Dobama Theatre, The J.C.C., and several others.  He has worked for Cain Park as a carpenter, events crew member, master carpenter, assistant technical director, technical director and production manager.  He also worked for Great Lakes Theatre Festival as a carpenter, run crew member, lead carpenter and shop foreman.  Dylan was the lighting designer for several award winning shows at Cleveland Public Theatre including The Candle Lit, Water Principle, Dolores Raine and Killer Joe.  He was the scenic designer as well as the lighting designer for the award-winning production of Hell Cab.  For Baldwin-Wallace, he has designed lights for student dance, the sets for Much Ado About Nothing, and most recently The Laramie Project.   For the 2006-2007 season, Dylan will be the scenic designer for Lend Me a Tenor, and will be teaching a course in Vector Works.  Over the years Dylan has participated in all aspects of the theatre from the front of the house, to the stage, to behind the stage.  He enjoys sharing his knowledge of technical theatre with the B-W students and encourages you to stop by and say hello.
