Victoria Bussert has served as Director of Music Theatre for the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music, Baldwin-Wallace College for the past thirteen years. Her work as a professional director has been seen in off-Broadway at the Manhattan Theatre Club, New World Stages, York Theatre and the Dance-Theatre Workshop. Regionally, she has directed productions at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Portland Stage, Dallas Theater Center, Pegasus Players, Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre, Westchester Broadway Theatre, Carousel Dinner Theatre, Warehouse Theatre, Cleveland Playhouse, Dobama Theatre and Beck Center for the Arts. Victoria serves as Artistic Director for Cain Park and Resident Director for the Great Lakes Theater Festival. She has directed for Anchorage Opera, Skylight Opera, Piedmont Opera, Pennsylvania Opera Theatre and Cleveland Opera. Victoria directed the National Tours of INTO THE WOODS, BARNUM, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, THE SECRET GARDEN, GUYS AND DOLLS and THE WHO'S TOMMY. This year Victoria will direct INTO THE WOODS for the Great Lakes Theater Festival (October '08), the 20th Anniversary production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL for GLTF (December '08). the Cleveland Premiere of I LOVE YOU BECAUSE for the Playhouse Square Broadway Series (January - May, '09), the Cleveland Premiere of GREY GARDENS for the Beck Center for the Arts (March '09), New York Senior Showcase (April '09), the regional premiere of MAKE ME A SONG for Baldwin-Wallace/Playhouse Square (April/May '09).
