Victoria Bussert has served as Director of Music Theatre for the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music for the past fourteen years. Her work as a professional director has been seen in New York at the Manhattan Theatre Club, New World Stages, York Theatre and New York Dance Theatre Workshop. Regional credits include Goodspeed Opera, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Portland Stage, Dallas Theatre Center, Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre, Westchester Broadway Theatre, Warehouse Theatre, Pegasus Players, Cleveland Playhouse, Dobama Theatre and Idaho Shakespeare Theatre. Her opera direction has been seen at Anchorage Opera, Piedmont Opera, Skylight Opera, Cleveland Opera and Pennsylvania Opera Theatre. Victoria has directed seven national tours including THE WHO'S TOMMY, INTO THE WOODS, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND and BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY. She served as the Artistic Director for Cain Park for twenty-three years and is currently resident director for the Great Lakes Theatre Festival. Victoria received the 2009 Northern Ohio Live Award of Achievement for Theatre. She holds a BA in Theatre and Dance from Barat College, and an MA in Theatre and MFA in Directing from Northwestern University. Victoria is a member of SDC; to learn more visit her website.
