Victoria Bussert

 

Victoria Bussert has served as Director of Music Theatre for the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music, Baldwin-Wallace College for the past twelve years.  Her work as a professional director has been seen nationally at theatres including the Manhattan Theatre Club, Goodspeed Opera, Portland Stage, Dallas Theatre Center, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Cleveland Playhouse, Pegasus Players, Warehouse Theatre and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and internationally in Africa, Brazil and St. Petersburg, Russia.  Victoria has directed seven national tours including INTO THE WOODS, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND and THE WHO'S TOMMY.  Her opera credits include directing at Piedmont Opera, Cleveland Opera, Anchorage Opera, Pennsylvania Opera Theatre and Skylight Opera.  She serves as Artistic Director for Cain Park and Resident Director for Great Lakes Theatre Festival.  This year she will direct THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and the regional premiere of BROOKLYN for B-W.  Current professional work includes KISS ME KATE for Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, BUDDY:THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY for Westchester Broadway Theatre and THE BREAK-UP NOTEBOOK: The Lesbian Musical for Beck Center and beyond - all of her professional production include current B-W students or graduates.
