A surprising number of students find their internships through family or friends. Career Services is the best place to start if you do not have personal contacts in an appropriate job setting. Career Services puts out the Job Bulletin and has descriptions of other opportunities in their offices. Occasionally faculty in the department receive requests for interns from local businesses and social agencies. Ask your advisor or an instructor in one of your classes. You may also call or visit an organization where you would like to intern. If they have had interns before, they will know what you are looking for.
