The Community Research Institute provides an ideal setting for teaching both theory and practice of social scientific research. It is a laboratory for teaching research methods, hands-on experience in applied research, and for multi-media training in the methodology and substance of research on social and political issues.

Dr. Tom Sutton - Chair of Political Science Department
Ph. D in Political Science and Public Policy from Kent State University
B.A. in Political Science from the University of Virginia.
Dr. Sutton has spent fourteen years as a professor at Baldwin Wallace, including research in education policy, elections, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the Presidency, as well as fifteen years of management experience in education and social service nonprofit organizations. Dr. Sutton also serves as the Political Analyst for WEWS Newschannel 5, the Cleveland ABC affiliate.
Dr. Pierre David - Professor of Business Administration

Pierre is the author of a textbook on international logistics. He most recently worked as one of the two lead consultants on the NEORSD projects, as well as worked as an author for Accenture’s Supply Chain Academy (Dublin, Ireland) on international logistics. He has consulted with several small firms in the Cleveland area on marketing and marketing research issues.
