LAC for BW Faculty
The LAC program depends in large part upon the support of BW faculty members committed to promoting the use of foreign language and international expertise across disciplines. Faculty offer LAC options in their courses to broaden and enliven course content by including non-English learning materials. Such course materials, which are used for particular assignments in a LAC-embedded course, provide intercultural perspectives in course content and foster language skills in LAC participating students.
Faculty members can participate in the LAC program in a number of different ways:
- by electing to teach a two-credit LAC section in Spanish, French or German as a supplement to LAS 200;
- or by offering courses with a LAC-embedded option.
