Law School Updates

BW international studies students have had great success in law school. Our alumni have graduated from Case Western Reserve, American and George Washington universities, as well as the University of Michigan and the University of Virginia, among others.

Samantha Mucha (2011) was accepted for admission to the Cleveland-Marshall School of Law J.D. and Master in Public Administration dual degree program. She was awarded a scholarship from the Cleveland Foundation for her law school studies. While an INT major, Samantha was a recipient of the Cleveland Foundation Scholarship, the Sam Walton Community Scholarship, the BW Presidential Scholarship, the John F. and Ida Gibler Scholarship, and the Ohio Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship. In addition, Samantha's undergraduate academic work has been recognized with other distinctions such as the Presidential Education Award and the Dean's List; and was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society and the Dayton C. Miller Honor Society.

Samuel A. Stone (2009) has finished his first year at The George Washington Law School. He is currently working as a summer intern in the National Security section of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia assisting in cases involving the drug cartels in Mexico, Somali piracy, export control violations, and illegal re-entry of undocumented immigrants. Sam has been invited to work in the editorial section of The George Washington International Law Review beginning in fall 2001 semester. Sam has also been invited to join the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, and the Moot Court Board at GW.
