Interactive and imaginative, Physical Education (PE) is an exciting career field that encourages self-esteem, develops a responsibility for healthy habits and fosters a lifelong commitment to health and fitness.

A melding of theory with practicality, our program teaches you the skills to effectively plan, implement and evaluate physical education programs for students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelve.

Rigorous and real-world focused, our program combines the strengths of a Baldwin-Wallace liberal arts foundation with HPE and education coursework. Through our outstanding reputation in teacher education, you’ll gain the knowledge, skills and perspectives that will prepare you for licensure and for first and subsequent teaching positions.

Accredited
Baldwin-Wallace College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association.  Undergraduate programs in elementary, secondary and all-grades education are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and approved by the State of Ohio Department of Education and the National Association for Sport and Physical Education.

The Lou Higgins Center offers expanded and updated workout spaces, classrooms, a state-of-the art athletic training facility, among other amenities.
