Pre-Physical Therapy

Potential employment for Pre-Physical Therapy:

The major in Pre-Physical Therapy is designed to provide a strong foundation in the fundamental principles of science and exercise science.  The major offers the preparation necessary for the student to continue study toward a degree in physical therapy or a related health profession.  Students who complete this program can pursue further education in Physical Therapy, Physician Assistance, Chiropractics, Podiatry and Nursing.

What is unique about the B-W Pre-PT program?

Baldwin-Wallace and Chatham College have finalized an articulation agreement that will provide B-W students interested in pursuing careers in the health sciences with the option of transitioning smoothly into Chatham's Master of Physician Assistant Studies, Doctor of Physical Therapy or Master of Occupational Therapy programs.  In addition, we are minutes away from a large city with many hospitals, corporations and public health entities.

Pre-Physical Therapy Student Organization:

Pre-Physical Therapy and Exercise Science Student Organization, is a student senate funded group designed for any HPE major interested in Health Promotion, Exercise Science, Pre-Physical Therapy or Athletic Training. The purpose of the club is to provide students with educational opportunities to enhance their knowledge of the physical therapy and exercise science profession. It will help students develop skill required for their chosen profession and also to inform students about the requirements for graduate and professional programs. Finally, the club will bring students of Pre-Physical Therapy and Exercise Science majors together so that they can use one another's advice and experience to aid in their professional development.

Internships:
