Health Promotion and Education

From food fads to fitness frenzy, our fast-paced society is inundated with health claims and promises. But beyond fascination and speculation, there is a need for ongoing health awareness and education.

BW's Health Promotion and Education major is a extensive program that prepares you for success in this dynamic field.  You'll gain the insights and competencies to work in schools, public/private agencies, worksites, health departments and clinical settings.

Comprehensive

Real-world focused, our program combines the strengths of a liberal arts foundation with specialized coursework in physiology, psychology, sociology and more.  You'll go beyond the basics and explore personal and community health issues, nutrition, substance abuse, human sexuality education, consumer education, teaching strategies and program management.

Experiential

Nearby Cleveland offers internship possibilities that can help you gain valuable networking contacts and resume-enhancing experiences. In addition, BW has community outreach programs and student organizations that can help you develop your career potential.
