Pre-physical Therapy and Exercise Science Major

Hometown: Olmsted Falls, Ohio

What is your career goal five years from now?
Graduate from dental school and start my own practice.

What are you currently doing?
I was recently accepted to a Master of Biomedical Sciences program and might continue my science education while I am waiting to hear back from dental schools. I am also volunteering my services once a month at the Free Clinic of Greater Cleveland in the dental department. I recently went on a medical mission trip to the Philippines with Helping Hands Medical Missions and plan to volunteer my services again.

What makes BW special?
Baldwin Wallace offers a wide variety of programs and internships that will help guide your focus in the right direction. The smaller class sizes help you receive one-on-one training with your professors.

What did you like about your major?
BW offers a pre-physical therapy major that fits in well with a double major in exercise science. It gives you the background needed to pursue a graduate school in physical therapy or in other medical related fields.

What advice would you give to prospective students?

You will receive the knowledge and training necessary to prepare you for the real world and expand your knowledge. I decided to pursue a degree in exercise science because I enjoyed exercising as well as learning about the human anatomy. Without pursuing this education, I would have never set my eyes on a career in dentistry. BW will help set your eyes on a career that you will always enjoy.
