The Honors Program is designed with intellectually challenging courses that represent the commitment of the College to provide academically talented students with special opportunities to explore the human condition. The courses in this program are designed to emphasize critical thinking, establish interdisciplinary dialogue, and foster appreciation of the context and evolution of ideas across cultures.

The courses in the Honors Program are planned to be intellectually challenging and to permit maximum levels of achievement in the integration of knowledge, the development of research and writing skills, and interaction between students and faculty.
Honors Program students are encouraged to explore the world and many have taken advantage of honors courses which include national and international travel.
