Judson Elliott

Judson S. Elliott is an assistant professor in the Division of Education, specializing in the application and diffusion of classroom technologies to teacher candidates and college faculty. He holds a B.A. from The College of Wooster (Wooster), and an M.S.Ed. from Lake Erie College (Lake Erie). His public school experience includes a thirty-year public school classroom career (foreign language, general science, fifth grade and, middle school computing) and a five year assignment to Ohio SchoolNet. He is A. B. D. in the Instructional Technology and Distance Education doctoral program at Nova Southeastern University (Nova-ITDE).
Judson is currently teaching both foundation and graduate courses in classroom technology to both teacher candidates and advanced program participants. He has special interests in open-source/free software for schools and the diffusion of Internet 2 video conferencing as a support to instruction. Open-source software holds a featured place in his instructional practices, and the interest in Internet2 video conferencing has led to the addition of video conferencing to the Baldwin-Wallace College International Business Program and leadership in the organization and realization of the now-concluded annual Internet 2 MegaConference events (MegaConference). Other diffusion activities include contribution to both the PT3 MIMIC Project and the Catalyst-OHIO Palm Pilot program.
Judson’s family of wife, two daughters/sons-in-law, and six grandchildren share his interests in music, technology, railroads of all sizes, and volunteer work for the Lake County MetroParks.
