Dr. Lisa Henderson

Lisa Henderson is a professor in the Division of Education at Baldwin- Wallace College and teaches literacy courses primarily at the graduate level.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education at the University of Montevallo in Alabama.   Her Ph.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham is in the area of Early Childhood Education and Development with an emphasis in Curriculum Supervision.  She has nine years of teaching experience in elementary and middle grades and eighteen years of experience in higher education. 

In addition to her faculty responsibilities, she serves as the program coordinator for Early Childhood Education in the Division of Education and the Director of Initial Licensure Programs.  Dr. Henderson is active in both national and state organizations, and currently serves as the Co-President of the Ohio Field Directors’ Forum and as a member of the executive committee of the Ohio Confederation of Teacher Education Organizations (OCTEO).  Her major research interests include teacher education, formative assessment, instructional mentoring, and leadership development.
