Clinical Practice 360 Evaluation Process

In order to comply with recommendations from the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and to obtain feedback about the mentoring provided to teacher education candidates by cooperating teachers and college supervisors during clinical practice, the Division of Education has implemented a 360 evaluation system.  This evaluation system allows teacher education candidates, college supervisors and cooperating teachers the opportunity to reflect on the practices, performance, and dispositions of all participants in the triad with whom they worked during a given semester.   The evaluation forms used in this process are distributed at the close of the clinical practice experience, and respondents are asked to return the completed forms to the Division of Education.  The results are tallied and the feedback is made available to college supervisors and cooperating teachers for their review.  Cooperating teachers who wish to have the feedback sent to their home addresses must check the appropriate section and provide accurate address information on the Cooperating Teacher Personnel Form.
