Focused
B-W is one of a few colleges in the nation offering an intensive two-semester communication studies research program at the baccalaureate level. Through this intensive communication research investigation, you’ll use data analysis software and gain valuable resume-enhancing experience.
Comprehensive
Beyond basics, our program teaches you the skills needed to succeed in a career and/or at graduate school. We offer you the opportunity to learn about human communication, including interpersonal, organizational, and nonverbal. You will have multiple opportunities to apply the various concepts and theories learned in class to practical situations and will create an online portfolio that showcases your works.
Experiential
Both inside and outside the classroom, you can gain valuable experiential learning experiences. You can study abroad, attend conferences where you can network with internationally known scholars in the field and participate in enriching service learning projects. In addition, you will complete an internship to gain practical work experience in your chosen field of interest.
Versatile
An excellent companion field of study, communication studies is often chosen as a second major or minor.
