Each year, the Department presents departmental awards to recognize outstanding mathematics and computer science students.
For the 2007 - 2008 academic year, the Department recognized the following students at the annual Honors Awards Ceremony, during Ovation 2008, which took place on Saturday, May 3, 2008:

- The Toni and Max Dehn Prize in Mathematics: Nicole Lashock '09
- The Anthony and Patricia Lauria Scholarship in Computer Science and Information Systems: Zak Balash '09 and Nathaniel Maier '09
- The Charles and Elsie Little Scholarship: John Brandau '08 and Lindsay Moomaw '08
- The Dr. E. S. Loomis Mathematics Prize: Dominique Barreca '09
- The Lubrizol Mathematics Award: Brian Haslett '10
- The Sullivan/Schmidt Prize for Computing: Jason Campanella '09
