Course Description

Now more than ever, hospitals are faced with the imperative to reduce costs and increase capacities while delivering increasingly better patient care. Healthcare leaders need to be able to identify ways to deliver better care to more people at a lower cost. In this course you will be exposed to quality management strategies that have been effective outside of healthcare for years, and are now being widely adopted to increase patient care and reduce cost. This course will focus on aspects related to quality that are specific to a healthcare organization. It will provide you with concepts to understand how to define quality, tools to gather the data used to quantify it and ways to analyze and improve.
