Louise Zeitlin

Lecturer in Viola

Louise Zeitlin has been featured as recitalist and chamber musician throughout the United States. She has played with the Minnesota Orchestra, St.Paul Chamber Orchestra, and Chicago String Ensemble and is currently Principal Viola with the Baldwin-Wallace Bach Festival Orchestra. Louise Zeitlin is also currently the Director of the Oberlin Community Music School.  She is a former faculty member at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Carleton College and the MacPhail Center for the Arts (Minnesota).  Ms. Zeitlin is a current board member of the American Viola Society and founding member and board member of the Ohio Viola Society. Recent honors include an award for teaching given by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, the Founder’s Award given by the American Viola Society and inclusion in the 2006 version of “Who’s Who” in America.
