Registration Policies
Cancellation Policy
Teachers are not required to make-up lessons/classes missed by a student nor reschedule a missed make-up lesson/class; payment is required. If a teacher must be absent, make-up lessons/classes are to take place during a designated make-up week (last week of the semester) or at some other mutually agreed upon time.
Payment of Fees
Tuition payments are due upon receipt of the billing statement. The Outreach calendar is based on the academic year and consists of two semesters (Fall and Spring) and a flexible summer session. Cash, check, or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover) payments are accepted. A Service Fee of $10 will be added to any account with an unpaid balance 45 days after the first billing date. Future enrollment will not be permitted if prior term fees are not paid. When mailing a payment, please address it to: Conservatory Outreach, Baldwin-Wallace College, 275 Eastland Road, Berea, OH 44017.
Registration Fee
A registration fee of $15 per student is charged in the fall, at the beginning of each academic year or when the student enters the program. The registration fee is charged each year the student remains in the program.
Refund Policy
Every effort is made to place students with teachers able to meet their individual needs. In the rare case of irreconcilable differences, a term refund may be requested prior to the third lesson. Classes and ensembles are only refunded when the Outreach office receives cancellation notice prior to the second class or ensemble rehearsal. Otherwise, refunds are made only under the most extraordinary circumstances. Petitions for refunds must be made in writing. If approved, refunds will be sent within 30 days.
Dismissal Policy
The Outreach Department reserves the right to dismiss any student due to lack of interest, frequent absences, frequent tardiness, behavioral problems, delinquency in payment of fees and/or failure to abide by policies.
Baldwin-Wallace College Staff/Faculty Benefits
B-W Faculty and staff, spouses, and their dependent children, are eligible for a 10% discount on all classes and ensembles and a waiver of the registration fee. Private lessons are not discounted.
Photo / Video Release
You or your child may be photographed or videotaped during classes, ensembles, or private lessons. These photos and/or videos may be used for publications, on our Web site or for educational purposes. In such cases, there will be no compensation, recognition, or acknowledgement to you.
