Group Piano Class

Child Classes

Hey Mr. Mozart!  Levels 1 & 2
Beginning piano class for children ages 5 - 7
Katie Cross, Instructor

This course is designed to encourage confidence and enthusiasm in players ages 5 - 7 who are interested in learning to play the keyboard.  The session will run for twelve weeks and classes will be 45 minutes each.  Parent participation is essential to success at this level and parents will attend most sessions.  Movement and games facilitate learning and access to our state-of-the-art keyboard lab inspires exploration and practice.


All students should have access to a piano for practice outside of class; daily practice ensures advancement in keyboard proficiency.

*Admittance into Hey Mr. Mozart! Level II without participation in Level I will be considered with an interview/evaluation and dependent on enrollment


Piano Brain Rush!
Beginning piano class for children ages 8 - 10

This course is designed for older beginners, ages 8-10.  Group games are an essential element in the learning process but the majority of class time is spent in the keyboard lab.  Students will receive training to prepare them for private lessons, including piano technique, basic reading skills, some rhythmic and harmonic principles and some exposure to jazz and playing by ear.  Practice at home is expected and parental involvement is encouraged.

Adult Classes

I Want to Play the Piano (Level I)
Adult Group Class for beginners

Adults CAN learn to play the piano � even those who've never learned to read music before. Studies have shown that adults who actively engage in learning new things enjoy good memory health, and the more complex the activity, the better for your brain! Here's a way to have fun, learn something new, give yourself enjoyment for years to come, and it's good for you, too. Learn the important fundamentals of piano playing in a supportive environment with other adults.

All students should have access to a piano for practice outside of class; daily practice ensures advancement in keyboard proficiency. Pencils are necessary at each class.

Adult Piano Lab (Level II)
Prerequisite: Piano Lab level I or previous private lessons
Intermediate Adult Group Class
Alice Frawley, Instructor

Adults can learn in a group setting, piano skills, music theory, and performance technique. It is a relaxed learning environment among supportive adults from various professional and career backgrounds. Studies have shown that adults who actively engage in learning new things enjoy good memory health, and the more complex the activity, the better for your brain! All students should have access to a piano for practice outside of class; daily practice ensures advancement in keyboard proficiency. Pencils are necessary at each class.
