Marcia Earl Humpal, received her B.M.E. from Baldwin-Wallace College and her master’s degree in special education from Cleveland State University.   After teaching music in public schools in the Cleveland area, she returned to college and earned her music therapy equivalency and an early intervention specialist credentials. A board-certified music therapist, Marcia recently retired from the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities where she specialized in working with young children and their families.   Marcia is active in the American Music Therapy Association, having served on its Board of Directors and currently on the editorial board of Music Therapy Perspectives. She often speaks at state, regional, and national professional conferences and co-edited and authored the book, “Effective Clinical Practice in Music Therapy: Early Childhood and School Age Educational Settings”. She has served as a guest lecturer at several colleges and universities. In addition to her Kaleidoscope classes, Marcia teaches the HarmoniKIDS program at the West Shore YMCA and is one of the Toddler Rock music therapists at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She and her husband reside in Olmsted Falls where she frequently is a flute soloist at Olmsted Community Church. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
