Fiddling Class
Explore the world of fiddling through the Mark O'Connor Violin Method, a method that features musical literature from all of the Americas (Mexico, Canada, and every region of the United States) and many musical styles, classical, folk, latin, jazz, rock, ragtime, etc.
Entry level and continuation level fiddling classes are now being offered for students age twelve and up playing at beginning or intermediate levels (students who have played at least six months and are comfortable with note reading). Adults as well as younger players are welcome. Students will improve their skills while learning a variety of tunes in a supportive group ensemble setting and will perform a concert at the end of the semester.
Michele George, instructor
Ms. George was one of the first forty string teachers to be certified in the O'Connor Method in New York City in July 2009, and is on the National Registry of Teachers for the O'Connor Method.
