Medina Strings Program

The Medina Strings Program will provide students an opportunity for first- and second-year string students to continue their study of violin, viola, cello or bass.

Students will receive 12 weekly 60-minute string ensemble rehearsals and 10 weekly 45-minute small group lessons. 

All programming will take place at Garfield North (formerly the Grace Drake Center for the Arts).  Garfield North is centrally located at 222 South Broadway Street between the Medina County District Library and Garfield Elementary School.

Spring 2011

12 Large ensemble rehearsals will be on Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm beginning on Thursday, February 3rd and ending April 28th; there will be no ensemble rehearsal or group lessons the week of March 28th.   Placement for small groups will be decided after the initial February 3rd rehearsal.  A final "informance" will take place on a date and in a place TBA, and family and friends of students are invited to attend.

Small group lessons with be on Wednesday or Thursday evenings beginning February 9th or 10th for 10 weeks.  Times will vary based on placement.

Cost: $175 per semester plus $15 registration fee for 12, 60-minute string ensemble rehearsals and 10, 45-minute small group lessons. Discount available for students enrolled in private lessons.  Contact the Conservatory Outreach office for more information.
