Coming in Summer of 2011 to Akron, Ohio:
Music as the Language of our World
The theme for this program will be Exploring Music as the Language of our World. Students will explore music and literature from three diverse cultures.
Tuesday through Friday, June 14-17, 2011
This program is designed to improve reading fluency through musical activities. Students will be assessed on a daily basis, and the program will be tailored to the needs to each student. By using music and literature, our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and stimulating experience for those who participate.
Registration is available to students entering the 3rd or 4th grade of the Crouse, Rankin, and Schumacher Elementary schools of the Akron Public School system for the 2011-2012 school year.
- Registration is only $5.00
- Free lunch and snacks
- Free transportation by bus (Rankin and Schumacher students are bussed to Crouse and back.)
