The Baldwin-Wallace College Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Theatre, housed in the B-W Conservatory of Music, is a challenging four-year degree program that trains students to enter the professional world of performing arts at a high skill level. B-W graduates are tracked for New York, Broadway, and LORT theatre work, although many reach this level prior to graduation. B-W Music Theatre students receive intensive training in Acting, Dance and Voice, as well as one-on-one coaching from top industry professionals in a dynamic year-long series of master classes. As a liberal arts college, Baldwin-Wallace also affords each Music Theatre student the opportunity to enrich their college experience with courses in the Humanities, Foreign Languages, and Business. Central to the College’s mission is the idea of experiential learning, and therefore B-W also recognizes field experience as a valuable adjunct to traditional study - students are able to pursue a professional work opportunity and receive college credit. The B-W degree is rigorous and comprehensive, yet flexible and responsive to an individual student’s needs.
