Organizational Leadership

Designed for adults in the workforce, the Organizational Leadership major provides a multi-disciplinary approach to leadership issues, combining courses from management, leadership and diversity studies, communications, social and behavioral sciences, research and data analysis.

Professional

Organizational leadership focuses on those skills that allow working adults to become stronger leaders ... through effective and collaborative communication that builds commitment and engagement with others; management of conflict resolution, innovation and change; ethical decision making that weighs benefits and costs for the organization; and an appreciation for human diversity and how to develop effective teams.

Versatile

Well respected in the business community, BW's Organizational Leadership major helps you develop the essentials for success as a leader in business and nonprofit sectors. You will learn about management and leadership, with the goal of applying those skills in a variety of workplace cultures. The Certificate Program in Organizational Leadership can be completed through six courses in the BA in Organizational Leadership degree; all certificate courses count directly toward the bachelor's degree.

Comprehensive

BW's liberal arts focus integrates courses from across disciplines to stimulate both critical and creative thinking.  Our real-world experienced professors help you succeed in a marketplace that is constantly changing, increasingly global and highly competitive.  Topics include: contemporary leadership problems, legal environment, organizational structure and communication, human relations and group dynamics, sociology of work settings, diversity leadership, and data analysis.
