Baldwin-Wallace graduate student Elissa Katz received the 2003-2004 Rainmaker Scholarship from Northern Ohio Live magazine.
“I’m very honored to have been awarded the Rainmaker Scholarship. It confirms for me that I am on the right track, doing the right thing.”
Elissa is executive producer at Executive Edge, Inc., which develops interactive, experiential, team-building programs for its clients, including Travel Centers of America, Ernst & Young, Avery Dennison and Mercedes-Benz.
She is enrolled in the Entrepreneurship Program, under the direction of Professor Sandy Stark. She chose B-W because of the opportunity for hands-on, practical experience, and she appreciates the day-to-day application of what she learns in class.
The caliber of the faculty and B-W’s strong community connection enhance the academic program, she said.
“Bringing in community and business leaders to speak on campus and in class keeps us very connected to the community,” she said. “And the professors are wonderful.”
