Center for Innovation and Growth

Innovation is the key to prosperity in the global economy of the 21^st century. 

As an institution with deep roots in Northeast Ohio, Baldwin-Wallace College understands that the future success of our region requires the development of innovative organizations in the private and public sector that integrate world-class science, mathematics and technology with effective, ethical and visionary management. 

Baldwin-Wallace College has established the Center for Innovation and Growth to enhance our existing commitment to the growth and future success of Northeast Ohio.  Through the Center, we:

• Utilize our demonstrated strengths in science and business to stimulate and nurture new business development in the region.
  
  
• Produce talented workers for the region who are grounded in both business and science and have practical experience in innovative work environments.
  
  
• Harness existing B-W outreach programs and build on demonstrated B-W strengths in science and business to stimulate and nurture new business development in the region. 
  
  
• Develop collaborative programs that will prepare our students for the scientific and technical careers of the future and link those students to the workforce in Northeast Ohio. 
  
  
• Help the region attract, develop and retain creative and innovative leaders.
  
  
• Encourage the development of entrepreneurial thinking in new and existing organizations throughout the region.

 Examples of current efforts in this regard include our Business Clinic, where students work with executive volunteers review more than 100 business plans annually, our partnership with Glengary LLC to help grow innovative businesses in our region, and our work with local communities on a regional approach to fire and emergency services.
