Saul Kaplan - Business Innovation Factory

On November 12, 2011, Saul Kaplan, the Founder and Chief Catalyst of the Business Innovation Factory (BIF) in Providence, Rhode Island, spoke to a crowd of over a hundred students, faculty, business leaders and community members on Business Model Innovation for Private and Public Sectors.
Mr. Kaplan's company creates real world laboratories where organizations can design, prototype, and test new models for delivery value. Its mission is to enable business model and system level innovation in areas of high social impact, including health care, education, energy and entrepreneurship.
Prior to BIF, Mr. Kaplan was Executive Director of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation and Executive Counselor to the Governor on Economic and Community Development. He also worked as a Senior Strategy Partner in Accenture's Health and Life-Science practice.
