Lori K. Long, Ph.D., SPHR
Lori Long is a Professor instructing courses in human resources and general management and is also a Faculty Fellow in the Center for Innovation and Growth. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Kent State University, a Master of Labor Relations and Human Resources from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Bowling Green State University. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the Human Resource Certification Institute. Dr. Long is also the President of LK Consulting, LLC, a human resource management consulting firm and she has over seventeen years of experience in the practice of human resource management.
Dr. Long's research interests include online learning, effective work/life management strategies and the policy implications of federal employment laws and regulations. Her work has been published in The Journal of Workplace Learning, The International Journal of E-learning, Equal Opportunities International, The Journal of Management Development and several other journals, books and conference proceedings. She is also the author of The Parent's Guide to Family Friendly Work (Career Press, 2007).
