Lori Long is an Associate Professor at Baldwin-Wallace College and instructs courses in human resources and general management. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Kent State University, a Master of Labor Relations and Human Resources from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Bowling Green State University. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the Human Resource Certification Institute. Dr. Long is also the President of LK Consulting, LLC, a human resource management consulting firm and she has over fifteen years of human resource management experience.
Dr. Long’s research interests include the policy implications of federal employment laws and regulations, the use of technology in human resources management, and effective work/life management strategies. Her work has been published in The Journal of Workplace Learning, Equal Opportunities International, The Journal of Business and Economics, The Journal of Management Development and several other journals, books and conference proceedings. She is also the author of The Parent’s Guide to Family Friendly Work (Career Press, 2007).
