David Kornbluth is The Coral Company’s Vice President of Capital Markets. Mr. Kornbluth is responsible for all components of real estate acquisition and development including all financial projections, capital structure, design, government approvals and community and tenant relations.
Mr. Kornbluth started with The Coral Company in 2003 as a Development Associate, was quickly promoted to Director of Development, and in 2005 to Vice President of Capital Markets.
Mr. Kornbluth began his career at Associated Estates Realty Corporation in August of 1996 where he served as Regional Vice President/Finance. During his tenure he was successful in restructuring $525 million of corporate unsecured debt to avoid covenant defaults and to provide for corporate operating flexibility. While at Associated Estates Mr. Kornbluth managed a $330 million corporate merger and real estate acquisition, developed and maintained corporate financial planning and forecasting models, and authored corporate Mission Statement and Core Values as a member of the executive strategic planning committee.
From Associated Estates Mr. Kornbluth continued his career at Ernst & Young Corporate Finance, LLC where, among other duties, he provided financial advisory and investment banking services to middle market companies related to all facets of corporate restructuring as well as execution of M&A and capital market transactions.
Mr. Kornbluth has a B.A. with a concentration in Economics and Political Science from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He also has a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and an M.B.A. from Weatherhead School of Management where he founded the JD IMBA Student Association. He is an Adjunct Professor at Baldwin-Wallace College and currently serves on several non-profit Boards.
