Veronica Kalich has been a member of the Baldwin-Wallace College faculty since 1983, teaching in the Economics Department as well as in the MBA program. Her courses include Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, Money and Banking and Urban Economics. Graduate courses taught include Microeconomics and International Trade, Macroeconomics for Managers, Macroeconomics and International Finance, and Quantitative Analysis.
Dr. Kalich received her Bachelor of Arts and Master’s Degree in Economics from Cleveland State University. She holds a Doctorate in Economic Development from the Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University.
Research areas of interest include global economies, macroeconomic conditions, and the regional economy. Dr. Kalich has presented papers at national conferences and universities in London, England, Vienna Austria and Santos, Brazil. Her work has been published in several journals, including the Journal of Urban Affairs, and the International Journal of Knowledge, Culture and Change Management. She lends her expertise on national and regional economic conditions to local organizations and community groups and has consulted in the field of forensic economics on employment litigation, personal injury and wrongful death for several local law firms.
Dr. Kalich had been an adjunct faculty member at other colleges and universities, including Cleveland State University, Webster University in Vienna Austria, Lorain County Community College and Cuyahoga Community College. Prior to her teaching career, Dr. Kalich worked as an economist with the Ohio Bell Company (now part of the Bell Operating Companies of SBC), and as an economic analyst with the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
