R. Chris Stanton, Ph.D.

Chris Stanton holds a B.A. in English from Wittenberg University, an M.S. in entomology from the University of Tennessee, and a Ph.D. in entomology from The Ohio State University.  His post-doctoral experience includes assisting in the administration of the Ohio Sea Grant College Program and teaching and conducting research at Stone Laboratory, a field station located on Gibraltar Island in western Lake Erie.  Chris joined the Baldwin Wallace faculty in 2001 and currently teaches Principles of Biology II, General Zoology, and Invertebrate Natural History. He also teaches sustainability and Study Abroad courses, such as leading trips to Iceland and Costa Rica.  His interests revolve around biodiversity, invertebrate conservation, water quality and the Great Lakes, and nature writing. Most of his research involves working with students on “hands-on” field projects.
