The BW Arts Management program has built long-term partnerships with arts organizations across Cleveland and the region. The primary partner of the Program is Cleveland's Playhouse Square, the largest performing arts center in the US outside of New York City. Projects and activities embedded throughout the curriculum connect BW students with the professional staff at Playhouse Square. The partnership culminates with the Senior Capstone Experience.
The Senior Capstone Experience is an integral part of the Arts Management program at BW. In their last semester at BW, arts management seniors participate in a culminating project. Since 2007, the Conservatory has collaborated with Playhouse Square. In a multi-tiered partnership, BW music theatre students stage a production at Playhouse Square while BW senior arts management students conduct marketing research, administer the business operations, implement the marketing plan and manage the arts education aspects of the engagement with the assistance of Playhouse Square personnel. In addition, during the final semester, arts management seniors participate in mock interviews, portfolio reviews and other job-search-preparation activities.
